Me interesa indagar en la cualidad lábil de la memoria que hace que al transcurrir el tiempo los recuerdos se vuelvan cada vez más débiles.
Por más esfuerzos que hagamos los seres humanos, el acto de recordar es en sí mismo difuso, una constante por el interés en retener algo que se nos escapa, irremediablemente. No hay posibilidad de que aquello permanezca intacto, se nos escurre y al mismo tiempo lo alteramos.
La fragilidad, que define a los recuerdos, encuentra una relación con las técnicas que utilizo para llegar a estas imágenes.

Trabajo con ciertos recursos de reproducción de imágenes que podrían funcionar en detrimento del olvido. Realizo tomas fotográficas de las que luego hago fotocopias sencillas para generar un desgaste extrayendo capas de tinta desde la parte de atrás de la copia. Esto provoca que en el reverso de  la imagen aparezca una nueva y, en algunos casos, sobre ella rescato líneas y valores con el uso de lápices y barras de grafito.

Los procesos de pérdida y de rescate, la delgada zona entre la apariencia de aquello que está por desaparecer, se conjugan para  formar estas imágenes que componen elementos de un circuito psíquico poco confiable como es la memoria.

As much effort as we human beings make, the act of remembering is itself diffuse, a constant for the interest in retaining something that escapes us, hopelessly. There is no possibility that that remains intact, it slips out and at the same time we alter it.

Fragility, which defines memories, finds a relationship with the techniques I use to reach these images.

I work with certain image reproduction resources that could work to the detriment of forgetting. I take photographic shots of which I then make simple photocopies to generate wear by extracting layers of ink from the back of the copy. This causes a new one to appear on the back of the image and, in some cases, over it I rescue lines and values ​​with the use of pencils and graphite bars.

The loss and rescue processes, the thin area between the appearance of what is about to disappear, combine to form these images that make up elements of an unreliable psychic circuit such as memory.
